What to wear on PE Days?

Hisar Campus

Children at Hisar campus do not change for PE but it is important that they wear comfortable clothing, sun  smart gear (hat, suncream, water bottle) and sensible shoes. Please send to school a pair of running shoes  and socks that can remain at school for the children to use during PE class. These shoes will be stored in  the PE/Music room. Click this link to watch a video on being sun smart at home and school                                                                                                             sid 2

Marmara Campus

Preschool, Prep, Grade 1, Grade 2 – Children do not change for PE but it is important that they wear comfortable clothing, sun smart gear (hats, suncream, water bottles), and sensible sports shoes.

Grade 3, Grade 4, Grade 5, Grade 6 –  Students should come to school in their school outfit and change into their PE clothes in the school changing rooms for their PE lesson. After the lesson they are expected to change back into their school uniform. They should not wear PE clothes all day.

Note: Students who have PE in period one are allowed to come to school in their PE uniform and to change out of their PE clothes after the lesson.

PE Shoes

Students need a pair of sensible sport shoes for PE that will remain at school for the year. Please do not buy fashion shoes for PE as these are not designed for exercising. Lace up and velcro are good choices and shoes should be rubber soled. The PE department provide storage for Preschool to Grade 2 PE shoes to help them with organisation and minimise them carrying large bags. Students in grades 3-6 need to be organised to bring their PE shoes on their PE days.

Hygiene

Establishing healthy lifestyle practices

Students in Grades 5 and 6  are expected to bring deodorant and use it after PE lessons to establish healthy lifestyle patterns. Wearing the same PE clothes all day is not a healthy habit we want to encourage.
